I had subjected myself to every diet from Optifast to Jenny Craig to Dr. Atkins to Richard Simmon&#8217;s deal-a-meal and was successful at losing weight, but as soon as  the diet was over, all the weight came back&#8230;.   and then some.
<p>From the  moment I walked into Dr. Shapiro&#8217;s office, all the dieting rules that had  been drilled into my head were thrown out the window.  He and his team of  nutritionists taught me that I was actually setting myself up for failure  with diets that were based on deprivation and control.  I learned that I  was actually sabotaging myself with some of the dieting techniques I had  been taught over the years.  Almost every dieting counselor/coach/sadist  that I went to forbid me to eat fat, sugar, and salt, so I was trained to  eat only low-fat, low-sugar, low-salt (and low-taste) &#8220;diet&#8221; foods.  Every  morning, I choked down a waxy, low-fat muffin or a plain bagel, sometimes  making it more palatable with a smidgeon of low-fat cream cheese because I  thought I was being good.  In my mind, I was a model dieter&#8230;. but yet, I  GAINED weight.  How could this be!   And the frustration just led to more  eating.
<p>The first and most poignant lesson I learned from Dr.  Shapiro was that a bagel has the same calorie content as the three-egg deli  breakfast I avoided like the plague.   No wonder I wasn&#8217;t losing weight!    This book is full of simple strategies like this that help you to  understand what you are eating and enable you to make better choices.   There&#8217;s no starvation, no weird or embarrassing dieting tactics and no  suffering involved.  Throughout the entire time I was losing weight, I ate  most of my meals at restaurants, traveled extensively, and never felt like  I was on a &#8220;diet&#8221;.  It took me a year to lose those 40 lbs and I&#8217;ve kept  the weight off for four years.  My Dad started seeing Dr. Shapiro 6 months  ago and has lost 35 lbs.  I am thankful to Dr. Shapiro and his staff for  literally changing my life.  Read this book and follow Dr. Shapiro&#8217;s advice  and it can work for you too!</p>

The biggest factor  working for him is the fact that this is not a &#8220;diet&#8221; &#8212; i.e.,  replete with complicated and stringent eating rules and regulations &#8212; he  simply shows you that by increasing your consumption of fruits/vegetables  and decreasing your consumption of other foods (not necessarily eliminating  them however) you can eat a good deal of food (even interesting food) and  still lose weight/maintain weight.  The only thing I wish he had added to  the book: 1. more info on better meat choices (i.e., lean chicken etc.) 2.  ideas for people with seafood allergies (i.e., he includes many examples of  low cal meals based on shrimp, scallop, clams, etc- &#8211; but if you&#8217;re  allergic to seafood this part can be somewhat disheartening).  Overall, as  I mentioned in the title of this review &#8212; it&#8217;s a well-written,  well-illustrated book and it is worth a read.</p>

White<br />Dr. Shapiro&#8217;s book turned me around overnight. I&#8217;ve never gone on a diet before -so I don&#8217;t know how the others work. I was simply ignorant of how many calories were in different foods. I just ate what came before me, including junk foods at the convenience store. After ,looking at the  sensible pictures (well done, by the way), I changed my eating routine  immediately, with no regrets. I simply eat stuff that has less calories-  without having to diet. Every now and then I have a &#8220;treat&#8221; if I  feel like it. My pounds are lessening and I have done nothing but made the  right choices. I feel great! Thanks Dr. Shapiro!</p>

Alright  as  you  may  see  Weight  Management  is  a  big  Problem  in  the  United  States,  So  we  are  perpetually  searching  for  that  miracle  drug  to  help  us  with  weight  loss  diet.</p>
<p>You  may  not  want  to  hear,  it  but  it&#8217;s  true  &#8211;  there  is  no  magic  spell  when  it  comes  to  losing  weight.  However,  there  are  galore  things  that  you  may  do  in  order  to  lose  fat  as  speedily  as  possible.</p>
<p>Here  are  Six  great  weight  loss  tips:</p>
<p>If  you  favour  the  established  route  of  diet  and  exercise,  then  the  following  tips  given  beneath  will have to  work  principally  to  help  with  weight  lose  diet:-</p>
<p>1.  Eliminate  Eating  Junk  Food.</p>
<p>Most  of  your  attempts  to  reduce  your  weight  will  be  not successful  of  you  are  unable  protest  eating  junk  and  processed  foods. <p>2.  Drink  a  Lot  of  Water-  Although  you  may  have  heard  it  over  and  over  again,  it  is  genuinely  true.  Drinking  water  not  only  replenishes  your  scheme  but  also  promotes  weight  loss.  How  is  that  possible?  Well,  as  we  all  know,  water  is  a  liquid  that  directly  passes  your  colon,  so  drinking  water  may  flush  away  those  toxins  and  not wanted  fats.  Drink  at  least  8  glasses  a  day  for  best  results.</p>
<p>Water  is  necessary  to  life  and  a  healthful  body.  Dehydration  will  wreak  mayhem  on  you  and  your  fitness  goals.  If  you  are  dehydrated  your  body  cannot  function  at  it is  optimal  level.  For  example,  your  muscles  will  loose  strength,  you  won&#8217;t  burn  fat  as  quickly,  and  you&#8217;ll  feel  tired  and  fatigued.</p>
<p>3.  Reduce  the  Size  of  Your  Portions-</p>
<p>You  will have to  eat  five  or  six  little  portions  each  day  at  regular  intervals  of  in regards to  4  &#8211;  5  hours.  This  will  support  appetite  suppression  and  boost  your  rate  of  metabolism,  causing  you  to  burn  further and added  fat  without  the  need  for  too  much  physical  effort.</p>
<p>4.  Lower  Your  Calorie  Consumption  Without  Deprivation.  Do  this  by  steadily  reducing  the  amount  of  calories  that  you  get  through  by  a  little  amount  each  day.  This  will  tot  up  very  quickly,  but  be  conscious  that  you  will  not  start out  to  lose  weight  until  you  reach  the  point  at  which  you  are  expending  a  more  calories  than  you  eat  each  day.  This  incremental  approach  will  help  to  cut  down  snacking  and  binging,  which  would  distinctly  put  you  straight  back  where  you  began.</p>

<p>As  a  personal  trainer,  I  get  asked  this  all  the  time.  Everyone  wants  to  learn  how  to  get  ripped  right  away!</p>
<p>Well  you  may  make  it  take place  fast,  but  don&#8217;t  suppose  any  for the length of one night  results.  This  type  of  muscle  has  to  be  earned  through  hard  work.</p>

<br />Try  to  keep  your  schedule  consistent.  Don&#8217;t  workout  too  much  either,  it  is  easy  to  injure  your  muscles  when  working  them  each  day.</p>
<p><b>4)</b>  Supplements.  A  protein  shake  is  necessary,  other  than  that  you  will have to  stay  away  from  supplements.  Multi-vitamins  are  healthy,  but  beyond  that  I  would  work  out  the  all  natural  way.</p>
<p>These  are  just  basic  tips  that  each  new  builder  needs  to  get  started.</p>
<p>What  next?</p>
<p>Next  you  need  to  set  yourself  a  full  workout  plan  that  incorporates  all  of  these  tips.  You  need  a  finish  diet,  a  finish  workout  schedule,  and  a great deal  of  data  on  technique.</p>
<p>You  may  find  answers  to  all  of  these  questions  for  free  online,  but  it is  all  with regards to  the  quality  of  the  data  your  receiving.</p>
